On This Day In Music
On this day in music in 1982, The California State Assembly consumer-protection-committee heard testimony from "experts" who claimed that when 'Stairway To Heaven' was played backward, contained the words: "
I sing because I live with Satan. The Lord turns me off, there's no escaping it. Here's to my sweet Satan, whose power is Satan. He will give you 666. I live for Satan." From this case of back masking, a precedence was set and warnings
had to be produced on records from then on, warning of such influences.
I'd heard of this one many years ago but never truly believed it, until i found the clips of the song parts discussed.
The part played forward:

Some creepy stuff and very interesting, considering the legends that surround many of the great rock and blues musicians, such as meeting certain entities at crossroads etc.
The more you look, the more you see.
